Cookie Policy
Burghmuir Limited · Updated 3 November 2026
We use browser storage to remember your privacy choice. Optional Google Analytics is subject to your consent. You can use the website without accepting optional analytics.
Manage your choices ↓ · Read our Privacy Notice1. About this policy
This policy covers cookies and similar technologies on burghmuir.com. Separately hosted Expo360 exhibitions, Store360 showrooms and individual panorama viewers may have their own settings and notices. A choice made on this website does not necessarily apply to another hostname or viewer.
2. What these technologies do
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Local storage also remembers information on your device but does not have an automatic cookie-style expiry. Scripts can read or store information and send information to service providers.
3. Essential storage
Our consent tool uses first-party local storage, identified as burghmuir_ga4_consent_v1, to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. This privacy preference is not used for advertising. It remains until cleared in your browser, unless the consent tool replaces or removes it.
4. Optional Google Analytics
Where enabled on this website, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits, pages viewed and interactions, together with browser, device and approximate location information. We use consent as the basis for optional analytics; rejecting it should not affect normal access to the website.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a property identifier. They distinguish browsers and maintain session information. Their default lifetime is generally up to two years, but actual lifetimes depend on configuration and browser restrictions. They are optional, unlike the storage used to remember your privacy choice. See Google’s cookie information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices and withdrawal
Use the website’s Cookie settings control to review your preference. Choose reject or disable analytics to withdraw consent. Withdrawal applies to future consent-based processing and does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You can also delete cookies and site storage using your browser’s privacy settings. Deleting the stored preference may cause the banner to appear again. Blocking or deleting analytics cookies alone may not change a previously saved acceptance, so update the site preference too.
If the cookie control is missing or does not work, please tell us at mail@burghmuir.com. Browser settings can block cookies while we investigate. An email request does not itself change browser storage.
6. Tours, media and external links
Opening a panorama, virtual tour, exhibition or third-party service may load its own scripts and privacy controls. Check the notice on that service before accepting optional tracking. External websites operate under their own policies.
7. Further information
Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information and your rights. For questions, contact Burghmuir Limited at mail@burghmuir.com, 128 Burghmuir Road, Perth PH1 1JF, United Kingdom.
We review this policy as our website changes. Guidance is available from the Information Commissioner’s Office.
